1893: British India ½a green postal stationery envelope to Agra, cancelled by squared circle ”Indore City 15.2.93” bearing on reverse 1886 2 annas emerald, Court Fee Stamps of the Maharaja Tukoji Rao II Holkar (Koeppel & Manners Nº. 12) tied by barred Indore postmark alongside arrival cds ”Agra 17.2.93”. The postal use of this fiscal stamp was in all probability due to a confusion with the first issued postage stamp, which in design was very similar to the revenue stamps.
