1816, Letter dated 4th May originating from Madras, originally adressed to Lanark, redirected to Edinburgh. The letter bears a number of scarce marks including the Crown India Packetletter, the GR Crown Inspector's mark. The letter also contains a further correspondence written in Cochin. Very fine item. 1816, Brief vom 4. Mai aus Madras, ursprünglich nach Lanark, Schottland adressiert, umgeleitet nach Edinburgh. Der Brief trägt eine Reihe von seltenen Stempeln, darunter den Crown India Packetletter und den GR Crown Inspector's Stempel. Der Brief enthält auch eine weitere in Cochin geschriebene Korrespondenz. 1866, Mourning letter with three colour franking from Murdan India (Pakistan) to Neath Glamorgan/Wales. On the front the letter received a red India paid boxed cachet. On the reverse there are transit marks Lahore and Bombay. Part of the back is missing.
1866, Trauerbrief mit Dreifarbenfrankatur von Murdan India (Pakistan) nach Neath Glamorgan / Wales. Auf der Vorderseite erhielt der Brief einen roten Indien bezahlt Rahmenstempel. Auf der Rückseite befinden sich Transitstempel Lahore und Bombay. Ein Teil der Rückseite fehlt.

Singapur

1851, rare early unfranked letter dated 25th June bearing a red Overland Mail Cachet. It was backstamped Alexandria 7th August. It was then disinfected at Malta and bears an indistinct French cachet dated 15. August 51. On arrival it was taxed 10 Decimen. Superbly rare and fresh, a gem for the early Singapore/Malaysia collection.
1851, seltener früher unfrankierter Brief vom 25. Juni mit rotem Rahmenstempel ”Overland Mail”. Rückseitiger Durchgangsstempel aus Alexandria vom 7. August. Er wurde dann auf Malta desinfiziert und trägt einen undeutlichen französischen Stempel vom 15. August 51. Bei der Ankunft wurde er mit 10 Dezimen taxiert. Höchst selten und in frischer Erhaltung, ein Juwel für die frühe Singapore/Malaysia-Sammlung.

1871, superbly fresh letter from Hythe in Kent to Fiji, with the routing instruction 'Via Brindisi', franked with one Shilling and six Pence. The stamps are in good condition although for such a rare destination this is barely relevant. The destination is almost unique, a great GB and Fiji letter. (M)

1769, Exceptionally rare letter from Fort Dauphin dated 16. August 1769 to Bordeaux carried by French warship. Upon arrival the letter received the cachet 'Colonies Par La Flotte', and was taxed 12 sous.
1769, Außergewöhnlich seltener Brief aus Fort Dauphin vom 16. August 1769 befördert von einem französischen Kriegsschiff nach Bordeaux, wo der Brief den Stempel ”Colonies par La Flotte” erhielt. Bei Ankunft wurden 12 Sous Porto erhoben.
