1934 Registered cover from Farah to ITALY via Kabul (6 Feb 34), the southern Chaman-Quetta route to Karachi, and via Brindisi to Pedara (4.3.34 arrival cds), franked on back by 1932 60p. indigo and 15p. brown tied by bilingual ”20 JAN 34/FARAH” cds in violet and Kabul transit cds. Cover with minor imperfections due to opening but still good. A scarce registered cover from western Afghan Farah, and a very scarce destination.
1945. Registered flimsy Airmail cover addressed to NEW YORK, franked at back with 26 p green Royal Palace Kabul, 2a rose-carmine Mohamed Zahir Shah of 1939-42 definitives together with 5a orange of 1939 Airmails, tied by two strikes of KABUL 22.7.54. a front provisional ”R” label and boxed censorship on the black/old white ”OPENED BY EXAMINER” tape, different DHH/6 censor's cachet in violet at back, with transit and arrival postmarks. Small faults, nevertheless a scare Airmail item.
