1921 Registered cover from MERSING to Singapore, franked by 1910-20 1c, 2c, 4c, 5c, 10c and 25c all tied by ”MERSING/A/7 MY/1921” double circled datestamp (Proud D5), Reg. handstamp (Proud R2) alongside, Singapore arrival cds on the reverse. Proud noted a usage of the Mersing postmarks from 1925 (R2) and 1928 (D5), while this cover predates Proud's earliest example by some years. (Note: Proud shows an example of the Mersing A cds with one solid circle and date 1920!) An interesting cover of modern Johor postal history.
1934: Postal stationery double card 2c+2c green, sender and reply part both uprated by 1922 ff. 1c. purple & black and 3c. purple & sepia, sender part cancelled ”JOHORE BAHRU -3-/1.- PM/7 JU/1934” double-ring d/s (Proud D19) and addressed to Germany, no text. The adhesives partially stained otherwise fine.
