1867-68, The valuable collection of the ”Condor” issues comprising some hundred stamps, documents and covers. The collection includes a letter bearing 5c. green horizontal pair from SUCRE to Tupiza exp. Rendon, another letter bearing 5c green strip of four (split into two parts due to franking over edge of cover) from PAZ to Arequipa/Peru and a letter bearing single franking 10c brown from CORO CORO to Cochabamba exp. Rendon. Also included are large units such as 5c blue green full sheet of 72 stamps mint (mostly unmounted), dito 90 copies on a document and other documents with high frankings including 50c yellow and blue and 100c (block of six). The first issue of Bolivia was used for postal and fiscal purposes! A fine and desirable selection, many items from Ortiz-Patino or Illimani. Most items bought on public auctions as individual single lots. (M)
